Looking for an intimate venue in Columbus? The Event Lounge sits inside The Market at Fortin Ironworks — the same building where our team has shaped iron since 1946. Original exposed brick, tall factory windows, and vintage hardwood floors carry the history of the neighborhood’s manufacturing past into every event held here.
Guests are free to browse while they celebrate: Fortin Ironworks pieces, work from local artisans, and the ever-changing curated inventory of The Market surround the room, so the backdrop is never staged — it’s just what’s there that day.

Grandview, Columbus
A Manufacturing Hub, Before It Was Ours
The building sits in Columbus’s Grandview neighborhood, once home to a cluster of local manufacturing. The exposed brick, tall factory windows, and hardwood floors are original — Fortin Ironworks has worked to preserve them rather than cover them up.
Early 1900s
Building constructed as part of Grandview’s manufacturing district. Was built in the early 1900s and the grand opening of the building was in 1928 and held The Exact Weight and Scale Company.
1946
Fortin Ironworks founded, was started out of of Joe and Josephine Fortin’s garage after he came home from the war. He slowly added buildings around the house to accommodate the growth factory. After outgrowing the space we moved over to the exact in building in the year 2000.
Today
The building houses the factory, The Market, and the Event Lounge.

Our space can be rented anytime between 8am and 10pm Monday through Sunday.
Because it’s our only event space, dates fill up — especially weekends. Earlier inquiries get first pick.
